Seniors love the freedom of riding the bus.
Going places, running errands. It’s easy, safe and inexpensive with OCTA. We offer bus routes throughout Orange County every day from morning to night. We wash our buses inside and out every day to keep them clean and in tiptop shape when you come on board. Our buses are safe, too. They’re regularly patrolled by Sherrif’s deputies and riding the bus is very affordable — just 60 cents each trip.

Never Ridden the Bus?
We can help you. We have a special outreach program for seniors. Our representatives will come to your senior center or organization and teach your senior group how to get around the county by bus. You’ll learn everything you need to know about planning a bus trip, paying the fare and requesting the stop. Check our calendar to see where our upcoming presentations will be. For more information on scheduling a presentation, call Robert Abrue at (714) 560-5664 or email at rabreu@octa.net.
Senior Mobility Program
If you’re just traveling in your city, OCTA’s Senior Mobility Program might be the answer. Under the program, participating cities and organizations receive funds and vehicles from OCTA to operate a transit program for older adults. Currently, there are 18 cities and four non-profit organizations in the Senior Mobility Program. Find out more.
ACCESS Service
If you’re not able to use regular bus service due to a disability, ACCESS service may be the answer. ACCESS is OCTA’s shared-ride service for people who are unable to use the regular fixed route bus service because of functional limitations caused by a disability. You must be certified by OCTA and meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) eligibility criteria to use the ACCESS system. Visit our ACCESS section to learn more.
