OCTA Chooses New Leaders
Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) board vice chairman and Fourth District Supervisor Chris Norby was selected as the new chairman of the Board of Directors of OCTA. Going to Extremes on the Santa Ana Freeway

The ongoing Santa Ana Freeway (I-5) Gateway Project is making progress.
Currently the I-5/Artesia Boulevard interchange is getting an extreme makeover. When complete in 2009, the new interchange not only will accommodate the widened freeway, but also will operate much more efficiently due to the realignment of the on- and off-ramps and Firestone Boulevard. New Freeway Connectors in Final Design

OCTA and Caltrans started final design on the West County Connectors project. Running through Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, the community of Rossmoor, Westminster and Garden Grove, the project will extend the current Garden Grove Freeway (SR-22) widening from Valley View Street to the San Gabriel Freeway (I-605). The project also will create seamless carpool connections among the I-405, SR-22 and I-605 freeways. For more information,
