Freeway Service Patrol

Who are those towtruck-driving Superheroes saving moms with mashed mufflers, fellows with flats, daughters with dead batteries, and anyone on empty to keep you moving when driving Orange County freeways?

Why…it’s the OCTA, of course!

The Orange County Transportation Authority provides Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) service to assist stranded motorists on all Orange County freeways. During an average month, the FSP comes to the rescue of 5,000 drivers who might otherwise be stuck without help — and would be backing up the freeway for other commuters as well.

During the Garden Grove Freeway (SR-22) Improvement Project, OCTA has dispatched extra FSP assistance trucks to the SR-22 every day. This will assure help if you need it and keep the freeway moving for all commuters. OCTA wants you to know we will clear traffic quickly during construction with this enhanced service whenever necessary.
